Most MANET P2P work focus on topology dynamics, but other problems exist as well
- Errors in the wireless channel
- Network density and size (tens of thousands in VANETs)
- Non-cooperative nodes
- If they're not all in a single organization, as they wouldn't be in a VANET, people may not want to act as relays
Restricts neighboring peers in the "overlay" to physical neighbors
Applies network coding, exchanging coded frames rather than pieces
Initial seeds broadcast torrent to neighbors
Interested nodes contiunally broadcast requests for that torrent until they have received enough coded frames to have the whole file
Nodes promiscuously listen to packets
Seeds are occassionally rebroadcast
