Prague & Czech Cycling Print Maps

Below are some notes on printed cycling maps. Links to online maps are in the website list.

Printers

Several companies and organizations produce professional, printed maps of cycling routes:

  • SHOCART produces an extensive line of maps covering the Czech Republic, and also maintains the free-to-use CykloServer online map.
  • The Czech Hiking Club (Klub Ceskych Turisto, KCT) produces hike/bike maps.
  • Bikeline produces a number of maps for routes along the Danube and other locations, available in multiple languages.
  • elbe-cycleroute.cz produces a map of the Elbe route.
  • Žaket produces a cycling oriented atlas.

Note that the big 1:240000 atlases or maps which several of them produce are only really useful for very long rides, and/or riding throughout the country. Otherwise they cover a lot more ground than is needed, but aren't detailed enough to be very helpful in particular areas, especially in following confusing routes within and nearby Prague.
