Zaurus Notes
These notes are from SL-6000 models, but should apply to 5500s as well.
Backlighting
You can control the backlighting by writing to /proc/driver/fl/tosa-bl. It takes a 4 digit hex number, 0x0000--0x01ff. Not sure of granularity. These at least should work: 0x0000, 0x010B, 0x0144, 0x01ff.
GPS
Pharos CF GPS devices show up on /dev/ttyS3. Don't forget to set the baud rate.
Battery
Usually on /proc/apm.
